Howdenburn Schoolhouse is a local authority educational support centre based in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders. The centre supports young people with complex additional support needs aged 16-19 across Scottish Borders, most young people attending do so through a shared placement with their local secondary school.
At Howdenburn Schoolhouse contextualised learning approaches enable students with complex learning needs to develop skills and attributes for learning, life and work. Operating in partnership with schools, college and adult services, students are equipped to move on successfully from school education to further education or adult services.
Howdenburn Schoolhouse can provide a peer group for students with exceptional learning needs and offers students opportunities for increased independence within a supported learning environment .
